Meetings and Conferences

Situated just two miles south of Watton, Thompson Community Hall is able to offer a conference and meeting venue in an attractive setting with off-road parking for 30 cars.  Our modern facility includes two halls which can be combined to provide a larger space.  The halls can be set up in either boardroom, training room or lecture style layouts to suit your requirements and number of people attending to a maximum of 120 people.  All tables and chairs are included in the hire charge.  The foyer offers a space for a break-out area and can be used to serve light refreshments.

Underfloor heating maintains a constant warm temperature in the winter and the air ventilation system keeps the rooms cool in the summer.  There are excellent toilet facilities including for those with disabilities and baby changing facilities.  We also have good access for those with limited mobility or in wheelchairs. with a path from the road, dedicated paved disabled parking bays and a building that is all on one level.

Additional facilities:

Audio-visual equipment - our comprehensive equipment allows you to display presentation material in both the large and small halls.  When both halls are combined there is the option to sync the screens to simultaneously show the same presentation at both ends of the room.  Music can be played from mobile devices and there is a DVD player available to screen films.  Microphones are available with speakers giving all-round sound.

Internet - the building has Fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) giving a broadband speed of 75mbps.  There is an ethernet ring with multiple ports throughout the halls.  Wifi is available in all areas of the building.

Kitchen - we have a fully equipped kitchen where food can be prepared and cooked by either yourself of caterers (5-star hygiene rating).  China, cutlery and glassware is available for up to 120 place settings.  Alternatively the local village pub has an excellent reputation for catering for parties in-house or will deliver food to the hall.

Outside facilities - the patio area can be accessed from either hall, opening up onto The Millennium Green, where you are free to wander or create outdoor activities.  There is an area with children's play equipment, trim trail and also outdoor exercise equipment suitable for adult.
